CrowdHealth (Collective wisdom driving public health policies) CrowdHealth CrowdHEALTH (Collective wisdom driving public health policies) is an international research project partially funded by the Horizon 2020 Programme of the European Commission that intends to integrate high volumes health-related heterogeneous data from multiple sources with the aim of supporting policy making decisions.


Pathways Pathways PATHWAYS is an innovative education project in the focus area of value data in clinical and non-clinical settings will test digital tools based in Process Mining (PM) technology to health care professionals. Clinical processes are monitored by each clinical speciality, there is a need of having a comprehensive follow-up of the patient trajectory. PM involves methods that fit with this unmet need and defines a framework to perform reliable traceability and assessment of clinical and managerial processes


InAdvance (Patient-centred pathways of early palliative care, supportive ecosystems and appraisal standard) InAdvance (Patient-centred pathways of early palliative care, supportive ecosystems and appraisal standard) the aim is to design effective, sustainable over time intervention programs that can be replicated in various care and cultural contexts that improve the quality of life of patients. Likewise, the project is one of the major concerns of Europe, since it aims to reduce the socioeconomic impact of chronic diseases.


OR4.0 OR4.0 Entitled OR4.0 Operating Rooms 4.0 the new system will target the improvement of operating-room performance and the satisfaction of professionals and relatives. This transformation will be based on Real Time Location Technologies (RTLS) which allow the indoor tracking of patients professionals and important equipment. 


LINK(Linking Excellence in Biomedical knowledge and Computational Intelligence Research for personalized management of CVD within PHC) LINK The goal of LINK is to deepen cooperation between two international leading research centres and a research institution of a widening region in the area of intelligent processing to support cardiovascular disease management in PHC. LINK will build on international leaders and shared research interests and resources to create a self-sustainable cooperation ecosystem between three EU institutions in the area of intelligent processing for CVD management for PHC applications in order to create an increased momentum in scientific excellence and international impact, and an intensified continuum in EU participation.


MOSAIC MOSAIC  MOSAIC is a Fp7 EU-funded European ICT project carried out within the 7th Framework Program devoted to the development of mathematical models and algorithms that can enhance the current tools and standards for the diagnosis of T2DM, IGT and IFG, that can improve the characterization of patients suffering those metabolic disorders and that can help evaluating the risk of developing T2DM and their related complications.


Sphera BQ Sphera BQ The SPHERAbq project aims to develop an Information System for Efficient Management of Surgical Wings in Hospitals, with the intention of providing the Health Sector with a powerful tool to effectively manage surgery, supporting scheduling, activities, safety and operations, with both professionals and visitors to the hospital in mind. The tool, based on data proceeding from sources such as the Hospital Information System (HIS) and Real Time Location Systems, will provide the right information when and where necessary, to improve overall surgical performance.


Heart Ways Heart Ways HEARTWAYS is a research project financed by the European Commission, with the aim of developping an advanced modular solution for supporting cardiac patients in rehabilitation that functions without the support of a medical environment. The solution under development includes wearable sensors and intelligent algorhythms to create specific applications and personalised treatment geared towards each individual patient and their healthcare professional.


FASyS (Fabrica Absolutamente Segura y Saludable) FASyS ‘FASyS’ (Completely Secure and Healthy Factory) forms part of the 18 large national strategic projects supported by the CDTI (Centre for Industrial Technological Development), of the 5th convocatoria of the Consortium of National Strategy for Technical Research Program (CENIT-E). With a budget of 23.3 million euros, the FASyS project will develop the key technology to construct a model factory, free of accidents, as a fundamental base for improvement in productivity. The project began in 2009 and is due to finish in 2012, counting on the participation of 13 companies and 14 leading research centres, coordinated by NEXTEL.


Heart Cycle Heart Cycle HeartCycle is a European integrated project (IP), part of the sphere of ‘Personalised Health Systems’ of the 7th Marco Program for research, of the European Commission. The HeartCycle consortium is coordinated by Philips (a leader in electronic care systems) and includes experts in textiles, ICT, and support systems for user decision and interaction. 


eMotiva eMotiva eMOTIVA is a project conceived for the motivation and monitoring of people with dementia in homes, financed through the Avanza Plan of the Ministry of Industry. The consortium is made up of the Spanish Society of Doctors in Homes (SEMER), the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the companies TSB and Microart. 


Enjoy-IT! Enjoy-IT! Enjoy-IT! is a national project, cofinanced in the convocatoria of 2009 of the R+D Avanza Plan of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce within the thematic priority of Internet Technologies of the Future. With an approximate budget of 800,000 euros, the partners involved are multidisciplinary, in order to better develop an R+D project combining the most advanced technology with the needs of the users. The project is coordinated by TSB S.A. and the participants are Escola Estiu (Summer School) of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, ITACA-TSB, the Paediatric Unit of Dr Peset Hospital in Valencia through is Research Foundation, and the design company Invitro Design.


VAALID (Accessibility and Usability Validation Framework for AAL Interaction Design Process) VAALID VAALID (Accessibility and Usability Validation Framework for AAL Interaction Design Process) is a STREP project of the 7th Marco Program for Investigation and Development of the European Commission, included within the Strategic Objective ‘Accessible and Inclusive ICT’, Thematic Priority ICT-2007.7.2, and counts on a global budget of 3,707,395.66 euros, of which 2,737,500 are financed by the European commission


PERSONA(PERceptive Spaces prOmoting iNdependent Aging) PERSONA “PERceptive Spaces prOmoting iNdependent Aging” (PERSONA) is an Integrated Project of the VI EU R&D Framework Programme, included in the Strategic Objective Ambient Assisted Living for the Ageing Society of the IST Thematic Priority. PERSONA develops an open and accessible technological platform to build and analyse a wide range of AAL Services designed for real users with the objectives of evaluating their social impact and establishing the fundamental business strategies for the development of the proposed technologies and services.


MYHEART(Fighting Cardiovascular Diseases by Preventive Lifestyle and Early Diagnosis) MYHEART “Fighting Cardiovascular Diseases by Preventive Lifestyle and Early Diagnosis” (MY HEART), is another project included in the VI EU R&D Framework Programme, in the area of the Information Society and Health Technologies (e-Health) of the IST Thematic Priority. The principal objective of the MyHeart project is to give people more control over their state of health so as to be able to combat cardiovascular diseases (ECV) by means of prevention and early diagnosis. For this, services are used that combine advanced technology in fields such as intelligent textiles, which incorporate electronic systems in clothes for signal processing, advanced user/professional interactive devices and communication systems.


PIPS(Personalized Information Platform for Life and Health Services) PIPS ”Personalized Information Platform for Life and Health Services” (PIPS) is an integrated project of the VI EU R&D Framework Programme in the area of the Information Society and Health Technologies (e-Health) of the IST Thematic Priorities. The first objective of PIPS is to use the latest technologies in information and communications to encourage people to make healthy choices in their daily lives. This is achieved by giving users the information they need to improve their personal wellbeing and quality of life, preventing and controlling illnesses, and guaranteeing the continuation of care after leaving hospital and for patients with chronic illnesses.


Alcoy – Ciudad Digital Alcoy – Ciudad Digital Within the Alcoy – Digital City project, financed by local, regional and national bodies, TSB is in charge of the design, development, implementation and maintenance of a management system for the Home-Care Unit of the Alcoy Hospital Virgen de Los Lirios.


CAREPATHS(An intelligent support environment to improve the quality of decision processes in health communities) CAREPATHS An intelligent support environment to improve the quality of decision processes in health communities (CAREPATHS) was a STREP project in the EUs VI R&D Framework Programme in the area of Information and Health Societies (e-Health), of the IST Thematic Priority. The aim of the project is to standardise clinical processes and by the use of suitable information systems to design, implement and evaluate clinical pathways, and thus improve health care, efficiency and coordination among health personnel, so that patients will feel satisfied with the attention received.


AGORA2000 AGORA2000 IST project for the development of interactive information systems to support and promote people’s participation in the public administration decision making processes.


ATTRACT ATTRACT European project which, through the use of new communications infrastructures, demonstrated that health centres could provide remote assistance services in the home at a reasonable cost. The project developed an integrated videoconferencing and monitoring application for campus environments on IP. Other Spanish participants included Telefónica, the Hospital Severo Ochoa and the UPM.


TEN-CARE TEN-CARE The TEN-TELECOM project established an integrated approach to technical and organisational aspects of assistance and health care in patients’ home by means of telematic systems and evaluated its commercial viability.
