I am Full Professor (Catedrático de Universidad) in the
Department of Applied Mathematics
and Director of the Instituto de
Matemática Pura y Aplicada - UPV of the
Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain.
Besides, I am corresponding member of the Société Royale des Sciences de Liège (Belgium) since 1992, corresponding member of the Real Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales de Madrid since 1994, and Full member of it since June 2005.
Research My research area is Functional Analysis with applications to complex analysis and linear partial differential operators. My main interests are Fréchet spaces, theory of distributions, spaces of analytic, real analytic and (non)-quasianalytic functions and operators defined between them.

(2008/10/13) El programa de investigación de excelencia Prometeo de la Generalitat Valenciana ha concedido el proyecto "Análisis Funcional, teoría de operadores y aplicaciones", del que soy investigador principal y al que también pertenecen Manuel Maestre (UV) Alfredo Peris (UPV).
Los proyectos de investigación de excelencia Prometeo se convocaron por orden del
28 de diciembre de 2007 (DOGV del 28 de enero de 2008). De acuerdo con la convocatoria, "su finalidad es promover la investigación de calidad y favorecer el máximo nivel de excelencia de los grupos de investigación con una trayectoria acreditada y solvente dentro de la comunidad nacional e internacional, mediante la realización de proyectos singulares de I+D. Asimismo, se pretende potenciar y consolidar la formación de escuela de investigación en torno a lider científico y tecnológico. La duración será de 4 años." -
