Abstract:
Many pictures and videos have been shared on the Web. Those are possible to find easily what you need by using a Web search engine. According to the spread of 3D printer, 3D models are also expected to be shared in the same manner. However, unlike pictures and videos, 3D models have a problem that the appearance changes by rotation and zoom operations. We focus on those of 3D models with camera viewpoint in this work and propose a prototype implementation of the annotation sharing system of 3D models. We also implemented the synchronization mechanism for 3D models based on Publish/Subscribe model. Then we evaluated the resource overhead of a server and the response time of clients in our prototype.
