Abstract:
In this study, we present a genetic algorithm solution to the scheduling problem for doctors in Pediatric Department of Prince Sultan Military Medical City (PSMMC) in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. The genetic algorithm approach used a cost bit matrix of which each cell indicates any violation of constraints. The experimental results showed that the suggested method generated a doctor schedule faster and with less violated constrains compared to the traditional manual methods.
