Abstract:
The paper proposes a new analytical method for determining traffic characteristics of multi-stage switching networks implementing threshold mechanism with hysteresis. The proposed method makes it possible to calculate point-to-group blocking probability in switching networks with multirate traffic streams. The basis of the presented method is the effective availability concept. The results of analytical calculations in two switching networks are compared with simulation data.
