Teaching Workbench for Channel Emulation Atennuation

Abstract:
With the increasing use of the IoT (Internet of Things), a solution is needed to teach the behavior of the communication channel between the network nodes of the LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network) through the Radio Frequency (RF) channel. Thus, this paper presents a low cost channel emulation strategy to be used by teaching and research institutions in teaching LPWAN flat fading channel behavior. As a result, deterministic initial concepts such as free space attenuation and attenuation in the log distance model can be presented, considering the channel emulation, whose emulation workbench will have many other functionalities.
