Abstract:
This paper presents the outline of our livestock monitoring system using Long Range (LoRa), one of a Low Power, Wide Area (LPWA), and evaluate the performance of our LoRa device for a livestock monitoring system. We present the purpose of the project, evaluation of transmission distance of LoRa at the farm, and the application of the result. As a result of the evaluation of LoRa, we have confirmed that LoRa is a feasible technology to monitor the behavior of livestock, especially cows on the large farm.
