Abstract:
In this work, we provide recent experimental results on free space microwave measurements of composites with ferromagnetic microwires inclusions. We observed that both hysteresis loops and the S12 parameter in the frequency range 2-4 GHz are affected by applied stress. Such stress sensitivity of studied composites is potentially suitable for contactless stress monitoring in civil engineering or in aircraft industry.
