Abstract:
This paper presents a complete system for the generation of multimodal feedbacks in smart environments. It is based on an underlying framework, NAIF, which allows taking into account context information in order to choose the better outputs for the user, improving the effectiveness of feedbacks and the naturalness of the interaction. The extension of NAIF is composed by three main components: a fission engine, a context engine and a context service. Several examples are provided to show the working principles of the developed system. The extended NAIF framework allows setting up applications for the delivery of consistent and quality multimodal feedbacks in heterogeneous environments.
