Abstract:
Paper is a widely used material which - through appropriate technological augmentation - has the potential to become a widely accepted means of interaction. Ambient Intelligence bears the promise of smart, adaptive and user-friendly environments, anticipating user needs in an unobtrusive manner. So far, there is no systematic approach to paper augmentation in Ambient Intelligence. Addressing this need, this paper introduces an extensible context-aware interaction framework to enable the integration of printed matter into Ambient Intelligence environments
