Abstract:
Relations between the triplet composition of mitochondria genomes, and the phylogeny of their bearers is considered. It is shown that the genomes are split into several classes in the space of information values of the triplets. The classification exhibits a feasible correlation to the phylogeny attribution of the genomes. The stability of the classification, as well as the impact of various techniques of a data pre-treatment is analyzed. A strong and fruitful correlation between the structure of trinucleotide composition of mitochondrion genomes, and the taxonomy of the bearers of these genomes is proven.
