Abstract:
Nowadays, the industry produces a large amount of data in its daily activities. Invested time and resources in acquiring, storing, and managing this data can represent a huge add value to organizations decision makers. Besides data produced by information systems used to support operational tasks, additional data can be also acquired and stored automatically, without human interaction. In Industry 4.0, technologies are becoming more prevalent in production and logistics. Intelligent sensors can generate a large volume of industrial data, so it is crucial to collect, store, analyze, and distribute this data in organizations. Dashboards allow operators to make informed decisions and solve issues on the fly. Thus, to address the presented concepts, a systematic review was conducted, based on Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and a Meta-Analyses guideline (PRISMA). These studies address some consistent positive evidence on the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to support productivity metrics in industry, creating knowledge for the development of a digital solution.
