Abstract:
In the current business climate, there is an ever growing need for companies to comply with a range of legislation, regulation and standards. There is also a need for companies to be transparent in demonstrating that they are in compliance and due to the nature of certain cloud weaknesses, this can prove to be problematic. Given the potential magnitude of fines for non- compliance, there is a strong incentive for companies to be able to clearly demonstrate full compliance. In this paper, we investigate what these challenges are, and suggest a means to resolve these issues so that cloud users stand a better chance of achieving compliance and reducing the risk of exposure to huge fines.
