Abstract:
A system was built to let the user click on a location of a brain model to explore neuroscience ontology terms related to the location. The user can explore further the related terms and related documents through a visualization interface and learn new concept or document relationships derived from the ontology and annotated document collections. This paper discusses the semantic technologies used to build the system and introduces various features of the visualization interfaces. It concludes that semantic technologies can be integrated with visual brain models and ontologies to support visual semantic exploration and discovery.
