Abstract:
Collaborative business intelligence in the meaning of cross-company data sharing and analysis can be conducted by the use of collaborative business intelligence networks and a peer-to-peer-approach. Despite the pure technological possibility, difficulties exist due to different data schemes and the necessary semantic mappings of them leading to information loss. We propose methods and measures to quantify the information quality of those networks and show first results of a prototypical simulation regarding local and global measures. We further outline research for future work.
