Abstract:
Support Vector Machine (SVM) is playing an increasingly important role in image segmentation methods, especially, in the medical image processing. There are many modified methods based on SVM. In this paper, SVM methods, including modified SVM methods in medical image segmentation within the last five years are reviewed. A comparison and analysis among the papers is presented, and conclusions and future research framework are suggested with the aim of helping researchers to determine their own research framework, method and content.
