Abstract:
This article presents an application of a participatory approach that involves the "citizen-participant" for a new appropriation of heritage. It is part of the project " Collaborative Heritage Observatory " funded by the European Union, in collaboration with UNESCO. Via this participatory research approach, we will show 1/ how the citizen can support the production of scientific knowledge and 2/ how this approach contributes to the construction of a common reference via a shared web platform. The objective is to realign theoretical and technical knowledge with practical and field knowledge. We will examine the complementarity between these two knowledge (theoretical and practical) for the production of new knowledge about the heritage and for a better appropriation of it. We will also dwell on a number of ethical issues imposed by citizen approaches and the limits they face to better apprehend them.
