Scalable Video Summarization based on Visual Attention Model

Abstract:
Scalable video coding and summarization are becoming important research fields in many adaptive video applications. In this paper, we propose a scalable video summarization framework based on visual attention model. This framework utilizes the scalable video coding to produce scalable summaries. Experiments have been conducted to prove the concept and to measure the time performance of the proposed framework. The results show that the proposed framework is an efficient and promising solution.
