Abstract:
Biometric technology for crime prevention is emerging. One example is digital contact-less capture of fingerprint traces, which is currently under development. As a first approach we propose the design of a system for securing court evidence. The proposal is based on an evaluation of data formats for the application in future fingerprint scanning systems and is derived from requirements of the German law.
