Abstract:
Information integration and modeling and management of uncertain information have been active research areas for decades, with both areas receiving significant renewed interest in recent years. Research on information integration with uncertainty, on the other hand, is quite recent. In this paper we concentrate on recent works on uncertain-data integration. We present experimental results on the efficiency of recent algorithms for information integration from sources that contain uncertain data. Our experiments show the algorithms to be efficient, demonstrating a near linear performance in the total size of the uncertain data to be integrated.
