Exploring the Utilization of Generative Artificial Intelligence Tools with Design

Abstract:
This research is part of an investigation into the use of Generative Artificial Intelligences (GenAI). Through a case study, we analyze the application and abstention of these tools by students in the creative industry during the resolution of a graphic challenge. The study addresses the need to develop competencies in emerging technologies that promote creative solutions. The central question investigated is how GenAI tools are employed in the co-creation process and the development of design solutions. The initial hypothesis suggests that GenAIs are primarily used as support tools in the conception and creation of graphic projects. However, the results indicate that, despite their potential, these tools are still underutilized by students in this particular case.
