Abstract:
This paper presents a system for video and audio recording of wildlife geese in their natural environment. The system enables remote controlled recording, and is designed for an outdoor environment. The recordings lasted 1 month, where 4-5 hours of geese video and audio were succesfully captured. Data recorded using the system is a part of ongoing research to design a method for automatic recognition of animal behaviour and species based on audio and video recordings. Automatic recognition could potentially lead to systems capable of reducing habituation.
