Abstract:
With the Smart Grid boom, vendors and investors are already looking for the opportunities in this area. Some of the greatest possibilities might be constructed in Latin America, especially in Brazil. This article aims to present an overview about Smart Grid developments in Brazil. Furthermore, four cases are described to show the challenges that confront energy companies in constructing and implementing the base for an efficient and real Smart Grid.
