Abstract:
In this paper, problems of privacy protection and power pricing for a new generation of electric power networks are addressed simultaneously. For an adopted electric power cost function, effects of the application of a privacy algorithm are studied. It is illustrated that a privacy algorithm can affect the price of the electric power by modulating the consumer's demand. It turns out that the effect is more pronounced for the networks with high uncertainty and inefficiency in power production.
