Abstract:
This paper presents a targeted view into the current development stage of the 3.X version of TACCIMO, a web-based application delivering climate change science to the forest management and planning community. The interactive TACCIMO GIS Viewer delivers custom visualizations and reports combining climate change projections with peer-reviewed literature and planning language. We present our work integrating externally hosted, heterogeneous data sources into the TACCIMO GIS Viewer, including our efforts to accommodate minimal changes to existing source code, along with advanced geospatial analysis methods using integrated climate change data. Our real world case studies demonstrate the contexts motivating our work for users assessing, managing, and monitoring forest resources within the conterminous United States.
