Abstract:
A variety of next-generation sequencing technologies reduced costs and improved quality for whole genome sequencing within the last decade. However, interpretation and analysis of generated raw genome data is still a time- and resource-intensive task taking up to weeks. We applied in-memory database technology to form a completely new system architecture that enables processing and real-time analysis of genome data in a single system and reduces time and costs to obtain relevant results, e.g., in the course of personalized medicine.
