Abstract:
The global pandemic COVID-19 has brought significant changes to the academic life of higher education students. Many of them face stressful and challenging situations, which calls for the need for resilience. The awareness, identification, and practice of resilience traits are beneficial for students and this learning aspect is often not taught in university courses. The objectives of this paper are: 1) To review resilience models and identify resilient traits from the models, 2) To propose a study of online resilience building for higher education students using interactive tools and online modules. Three different models were reviewed to help build academic resilience. Some key traits of resilience are identified from the models and are to be included in the online interactive learning and modules in the “Resilience Building” Knowledge Programme for higher education.
