M-learning as a Motivational Method in Music Education

Abstract:
The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education is a relevant research topic. With the improvement of technology, the use of mobile phones by students is more and more common in the classroom, enabling an appropriate environment for mobile learning (M-learning) through the 'bring your own device' method (BYOD). Mobility is needed when trying to develop digital media tools. This paper analyzes how art and music students in the context of Brazilian high school technical education can be motivated towards supplementary research through these support technologies in order to build and optimize their own Musical Arts knowledge and skills. The primary objective is to guide teachers in using applications as a tool in the teaching and learning process.
