Database Technology II: Graph Database Language

Abstract:
This paper reviews the changes in database technology represented by the incorporation of property graphs and associated language in the ISO standard 9075 (Database Languages - SQL) and the current development of the draft international standard ISO 39075 (Database Languages - GQL), and presents an implementation of the resulting combined technology in a single relational database management system. These developments continue a trend towards integrating conceptual modeling design into the physical database.
