Abstract:
This paper focuses on optimising value creation and co-creation in service-based, interaction-oriented applications using digital technologies like digital twins. Digital technologies play a crucial role in enhancing customer experiences, improving service quality, and streamlining processes in service systems, making it essential to systemise value creation in service systems. Previous efforts have focused on digital transformation and service design but neglected the role of human activity. This contribution addresses the utilisation of digital twins for managing digital and person-based services in traditional sectors, offering a unique perspective on optimising value creation in interaction-oriented service systems. The solution involves leveraging the Service-Oriented Activity System methodology to enhance the value of digital twins by considering their characteristics in service design and optimisation.
