Abstract:
Self-adaptability and self-management have become nowadays challenging properties of real-time operating systems. Since the evolution of these systems as a response to environmental changes is restricted due to real-time constraints, it becomes more difficult for the system to adapt itself and manage its stability at run time. This paper introduces a new approach, which applies the organic programming concept to real-time operating systems. The approach enables to define a self-adaptable and self-management real-time operating system.
