Abstract:
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have been applied in many fields such as military, traffic management, natural disaster prevention and assistance, and agriculture. Due to their characteristics, they are natural candidates to integrate the Internet of Intelligent Things (IoIT), a network composed of devices that are autonomous and mobile and have both sensing and action taking capabilities. The insertion of UAVs into IoIT infrastructure brings new dimensions to UAV applications and at the same time introduces new challenges. In this paper, we outline some opportunities and challenges brought by the insertion of UAVs into IoIT.
