Abstract:
Traditional means for the distribution of subsidized commodities suffer from many shortcomings such as unfair distribution, lengthy distribution process with many leakage opportunities along the way. This paper presents a mobile based solution as an emerging direction in e-Government to tackle this problem. The proposed solution provides transparency, visibility, and control over the distribution process. The solution and its operational process introduce a better mechanism for subsidies distributions. This mechanism improves the effectiveness and efficiency of the distribution process, and ensures high usability. Thus, the needs and competencies of the beneficiaries of the subsidies distribution system are met. The solution also improves the delivery of such an important government service to benefit citizens. Analysis, design, and implementation of such a solution are introduced too.
