Abstract:
Social networks, such as Facebook, Myspace, LinkedIn, Google+, and Twitter have experienced exponential growth and a remarkable adoption rate in recent years. These social networks are touching our lives at home and at work by providing attractive means of online social interactions and communications with family, friends and colleagues from around the corner or across the globe; however, this comes with a growing concern regarding the privacy and security risks that accompany the use of such networks. In this paper, we will investigate and discuss the different privacy issues pertaining to social networks, in addition, we will propose some precaution measures that should be applied to tackle these issues.
