Abstract:
This paper presents a reflection about the right to be forgotten in the context of social machines operating in Web 3.0 and present this "new" distribution of information environment. The reflection was based on a literature review and suggests the ineffectiveness of how the right to be forgotten is being applied due the complex structures existing connection between users, social software and devices (hardware) designed to work together. Thus, disconnecting more than a right, becomes a duty for those who choose to be forgotten.
