Network Function Virtualization Experiments Using SONATA Framework

Abstract:
Network Function Virtualization (NFV) represents a novel and strong technology to support the development of flexible and customizable virtual networks in multi-tenant and multi-domain environment. Open issues still exist for architectural, interoperability, design and also related to implementation and experimental aspects. This paper presents two experiments in which a virtual firewall and a graph of virtual routers have been integrated in two different topologies and have been tested using SONATA framework.
