Abstract:
This paper describes a Multifactor authentication device, the main features of the device and implementation to the Microsoft Windows Credential Provider. The newest, more robust and more secure solutions for user’s or system’s authentication brings new challenges and requests to design completely new, advanced and highly trustworthy authentication devices. Nowadays one or two factor authentication can be in some cases too risky and vulnerable for security attacks. Therefore more authentication factors are required to increase authentication process security and minimize possible identity forge. Due to this reason a new authentication device, extended authentication process by another two factors, was developed and proposed in this paper.
