Abstract:
The paper presents the realization of the nanopositioning control of activated sludge samples observed under the microscope. To achieve the desired control goals, the most typical and cheapest components of the positioning system were used. It has been shown both experimentally and numerically that one of the simplest control algorithms (in this case the PI controller) can provide satisfactory good results in positioning control systems. Moreover, based on the simplified description of the microactuator, analytical stability conditions of the closed-loop system have been given. Then, it was possible to find the analytical and experimental stability regions on the controller parameter plane and to compare them against each other.
