Abstract:
Software testing is part of a set of activities that ensure high quality software. It primarily aims at revealing defects that have been inserted into a software at various stages of its development. In functional testing, test requirements are derived from software specifications. This paper proposes a systematic map (SM). Its planning and execution were based on questions formulated to investigate functional criteria/techniques related to: i) assessment methods, which have an effect on cost and efficacy; and ii) application scenarios, which define the type of software in which they are used. Furthermore, we assess the strength of evidence and threats to SM validity.
