Abstract:
The Embedded Systems are increasingly present in society’s daily life. Their demand in several home appliances makes them more complex, bringing the necessity of a more careful requirements engineering than for traditional systems. The requirements reuse for embedded systems, especially those addressed to non-functional requirements, is still a challenge for industries that develop products based on Embedded Systems (ES). This paper presents a Process of Non-Functional Requirements Reuse for Embedded Systems – called PRReSE - using NFR-Framework as an approach to improve the concept, design and development of such systems. The process was instantiated in a case study to illustrate the reuse of non-functional requirements in a product family; the family chosen was for microwave oven.
