An Approach for Sensor Placement to Achieve Complete Coverage and Connectivity in Sensor Networks

Abstract:
The main objective required for a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is the positioning of the sensor nodes to form a WSN. There are two strategies for the positioning of nodes in an area of interest where some phenomena are to be monitored: deterministically or randomly. In this paper, our goal is to propose a new sensor placement technique, which is based on random distribution with coverage and connectivity constraints.
