Abstract:
The exponential growth of e-commerce practices around the world is about to transform drastically traditional commerce by its infrastructure potential, the measurement of its intensity and its effects on the emergence of an information society. The study of the quality of e-commerce web sites is then prevalent; it is based on a review of literature in several fields: management, web-marketing, software engineering and Computer Supported Collaborative Work. The paper has a dual purpose, to propose at first a framework to guide the quality of e-commerce web sites and then to validate it by designing and developing a Computer Supported Collaborative Work. The framework was based on ecommerce web site’s life cycle and Deming’s wheel in addition to a quality measurement scale named e-ComDecaQual as it is in ten areas: ergonomics, features, content structure and information richness, compatibility, security, accessibility, referencing-positioning and e-reputation, adherence to regulations, compliance with standards, and sustainable development.
