A Practical Approach to Teaching Requirements Engineering in Computing Programs

Abstract:
This paper aims to contribute to the teaching of Requirements Engineering with a proposal of teaching approach that makes use of student-focused strategies for the development of skills expected by the industry. For this, the work presents the methodology used to create the approach through the identification of the skills expected by a requirement engineer. The results obtained through an experiment are presented, and it shows that the students were more motivated to research and to learn.
