Abstract:
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is used to run desktop operating systems and applications inside Virtual Machines (VM) that reside on servers. This paper proposes a solution for improving network performance of the VDI system. TCP/IP Offload Engine (TOE) and Single Root IO Virtualization Network Interface Card (SR-IOV NIC) for VDI protocol network and VM network were adopted respectively. According to experiments, our system saves up to 15.93% host CPU utilization.
