Abstract:
In recent years, various researches have been conducted for the purpose of applying Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) to monitoring the condition of railway facilities. In designing WSNs, it is important to effectively arrange the nodes that compose WSNs. In railway environments, it is necessary to design WSNs in consideration of the presence of obstacles and constraints on the placement. In this paper, we propose a method of calculating an optimal relay nodes placement and a routing method of WSNs in railway environments by combining the mathematical optimization method and Sequential Monte Carlo method.
