Abstract:
Efforts have been made to utilize the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) to monitor the state of railway facilities, such as structures, tracks, vehicles, etc. In monitoring the condition of railway cars, such items as the brakes, the train speed, the truck vibration, etc. are subjected to monitoring. We are developing a system under which the crew can monitor the condition of the train's vehicle in real time. In cases where data are transmitted when the train is running, it is assumed that the communication distance between the wireless terminals changes according to changes in the radio wave propagation environment. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a transmission method when the train is driving, and conducted a functional verification test by an actual machine.
