Abstract:
In this paper, we present how to allocate bandwidth in VoIP networks, how to set up a connection, and which links in the network should be used. Common are algorithms which find shortest path (SPF) – like OSPF in Internet network. We create a new algorithm which takes into consideration two parameters, including maximum throughput bound. Using the created experimentation system we show that the algorithm can reduce the number of rejected calls and in some cases, the total cost of the calls.
