Abstract:
Nowadays, the rapidly developing science of services focuses on service management, which has to take into account the available resources and the user's wishes concerning the desired quality and costs. Quality of Service (QoS) management is perceived as a special aspect of distributed systems management. This area of management is concerned with finding appropriate QoS characteristics for the different system components in a distributed information system application and reserving the corresponding resources in such a way as to achieve the required functionality of the given application and to optimize the overall business organization performance. In this paper, we present a consistent set of concepts concerning QoS modelling for agent technology application and give an example of how that concept can be used.
