Abstract:
Location services are being ushered in a new era of seamless navigation from outdoor to indoor and vice versa. At present, our common indoor positioning technology has infrared, ultrasonic, Bluetooth, RFID, UWB, and Wi-Fi. Modern indoor positioning error sources are divided into three categories, indoor radio propagation environment for signal loss, error of the positioning system itself, and measurement error. Propagation loss is the dominant error source. It includes signal attenuation along with the increase in distance, multipath propagation, non-line of sight transmission, radio frequency equipment signal interference influencing the measured value. With the development of indoor positioning technology, the demand for positioning accuracy is getting higher. In this paper, we use the Kalman filter to improve the distance measurement accuracy.
