Abstract:
Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO)Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems are very sensitive to carrier frequency offset (CFO) and timing synchronization. In this paper, a new timing synchronization preamble designed for MIMO-OFDM systems is presented. Constant Amplitude Zero Auto Correlation (CAZAC) sequences are used in order to construct this preamble. CAZAC sequence has a sharp correlation peak and zero side lobes. Simulation results show that the proposed method presents a good performance at a low Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) in AWGN and multipath fading Rayleigh channels.
